FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Global Flagship for Peace Initiative to Launch in Manila, Philippines — June 7–10, 2026 Manila, Philippines — June 7–10, 2026 — The Global Flagship for Peace Initiative, in collaboration with international partners including the UNESCO Center for Peace, the Art Miles Mural Project, and leading global advocates for cultural diplomacy and sustainable development, will convene a historic multi-day gathering in Manila, Philippines from June 7 through June 10, 2026. This landmark event will bring together distinguished global leaders, diplomats, educators, artists, youth ambassadors, and humanitarian organizations to advance initiatives aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Manila convening represents a pivotal moment in the evolution of the Global Flagship for Peace, a visionary and dynamic platform designed to foster international collaboration, cultural exchange, and measurable impact across communities worldwide. The program will follow a thoughtfully structured sequence beginning with formal introductions and welcoming remarks, including acknowledgment of key participants and partners. Leadership will provide brief opening perspectives, setting the tone for a collaborative and forward-thinking engagement. Participants will then be guided through the origins of the initiative, sharing how the movement began with a single mural concept and evolved into a global platform for peace and impact. This will be followed by an overview of the provisional designation, offering clarity on its meaning and significance within the broader framework of international cooperation. The official inauguration and planned global engagements will be presented, outlining both immediate and long-term opportunities for collaboration and implementation.

Further discussion will highlight the structure and focus of projects, emphasizing how initiatives will be organized, scaled, and delivered across global communities. A strong emphasis will be placed on working in alignment with other ship-based and international initiatives, reinforcing the belief that unified efforts lead to greater, more sustainable impact. The initiative remains fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that all programming contributes to globally recognized priorities.

The program will also include a clear call to action, inviting organizations, leaders, and participants to engage, partner, and contribute to the mission, followed by an open discussion and question-and-answer session designed to foster dialogue and collaboration. All Global Flagship for Peace initiatives are grounded exclusively in the principles of education, cultural exchange, global collaboration, humanitarian values, and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This guiding framework ensures that every effort contributes to meaningful, measurable, and inclusive global impact. As the initiative moves forward, it carries a powerful message: we are not simply traveling the world—we are helping shape it and building peace along the way.

Beyond Manila, the Global Flagship for Peace will continue its mission through a series of international engagements designed to expand its reach and deepen its impact. Following the inaugural event, the initiative will convene in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from September 18 through September 21, 2026, in alignment with the International Day of Peace, serving as a principal global engagement. This will be followed by a partnership-driven humanitarian and community initiative in Kolkata, India on November 29 and 30, 2026, further strengthening global collaboration and local impact.

Through these activations, the Global Flagship for Peace is establishing a new model for international engagement—one that is mobile, inclusive, and action-oriented. By bringing together global leaders, educators, organizations, and communities, the initiative aims to inspire meaningful change, foster cross-cultural understanding, and create sustainable solutions aligned with shared global goals.
